New Delhi: Delhi Police have arrested an Indian Air Force (IAF) Wing Commander for allegedly sharing sensitive defence-related information with a woman suspected of being linked to a Pakistani intelligence agency.

According to police sources, the officer was arrested on May 31, 2026, following specific intelligence inputs and has been booked under the Official Secrets Act. He is currently lodged in Tihar Jail.

Alleged Honey-Trap Operation

Investigators suspect that the officer was approached by a woman on social media during a difficult period in his personal life. Their online conversations reportedly developed into regular video calls, after which the woman allegedly sought sensitive information concerning military activities.

Police suspect that the officer shared details related to the movement and deployment of military units, along with photographs, videos, documents and other information through digital channels.

Investigators believe the woman may have been operating on behalf of a Pakistani intelligence network and that the officer was allegedly honey-trapped.

Attempt to Access Other Defence Personnel's Phones

The investigation has also raised concerns about a possible attempt to access information from other defence personnel.

According to police, the woman allegedly asked the officer to install a particular application on a colleague's mobile phone. Investigators are examining whether the application could have been designed to obtain data or remotely access the device.

Authorities are now investigating whether the case is connected to a larger espionage network and whether other individuals may have been targeted.

Investigation Focuses on Digital Trail

Investigators are examining the officer's digital communications to determine what information was allegedly shared, which platforms were used and who may have received the material.

Agencies are also working to identify the alleged foreign handlers and determine the extent of any potential security breach.

Police have not yet disclosed the full nature of the allegedly leaked information, citing the ongoing investigation and national-security concerns.
