Nilambari SalunkePune Share Trading Fraud: Retired Medical Researcher Loses ₹96.5 Lakh
A 78-year-old retired medical researcher from Pune’s Kothrud area allegedly lost ₹96.5 lakh in an online share-trading scam. Fraudsters reportedly lured him through a messaging-app group and a fake trading platform, showing inflated profits and encouraging further investments. When he tried to withdraw the money, he realised he had been cheated. Pune Cyber Police have traced multiple mule accounts and frozen around ₹24 lakh, while further investigation is underway.
